The Vieux (pronounced ‘View’) is located in Sevierville, Tennessee, only minutes from Pigeon Forge. When you stay at The Vieux, you will experience the feeling of being secluded from Pigeon Forge and everything while, in reality, you’re only 6 minutes away. The Vieux is our most secluded cabin. Once you put up your groceries, you won’t even need to leave the property that the cabin is on – and some of our guests don’t. Surrounded by The Great Smoky Mountains and The National Parks, there are breathtaking views everywhere you look – especially from the front balcony. This 6 bedroom, 5 bathroom cabin with 2 living rooms and a large game room sleeps up to 20 guests with a hide a bed in the main floor living room. The Vieux is perfect for your next trip to the Smokies. Relax on the front balcony in the morning with your coffee while listening to the birds and enjoying the serenity of the mountain view before you. At night, be mesmerized by the gorgeous sunset over the mountains while enjoying a glass of wine and then watch the twinkling lights come out below (especially during the Fall and Winter months). The Coffee Bar has a Keurig, coffee pot, electric kettle and everything you need for the perfect cup of coffee or tea. The Vieux is located on our property called The Mustard Seed Venue (TMS) and has many amenities to keep you busy during your stay. If you have other family and friends who want to join you, this is the perfect location since TMS consists of 8 cabins that are all in walking distance of each other, but not on top of each other, 12 acres that you can walk around and multiple amenities to help provide you with a wonderful, relaxing, fun-filled stay. Our property is perfect for a Christian Retreat, Family Reunion, Destination Wedding (contact Kathryn for Wedding packages and information) or any other kind of retreat. We can sleep up to 66 guests overall on the property. We look forward to hosting you. Please note that weddings cannot be booked without prior approval of the owners and we have multiple wedding packages you can choose from. Additionally, they cannot be booked on this platform, but will have to be done directly with the owners because of the packages that are offered. With high cathedral ceilings, real wood walls and a tall floor to ceiling stone woodburning fireplace in the main floor living room along with a TV set above the fireplace. The downstairs living room has an over-sized 85″ screen TV. On the upstairs level, there is a small arcade room and a shuffle board table. The 3 car oversized garage has been turned into a Rec Room with an official size pool table, foosball and a sit down arcade game. There are comfortable couches, a coffee table and giant Jenga and Connect 4 as well. There’s a Corn Hole game that can be set up outside on nice days or in the garage on rainy days. You can hike on the property exploring everything around, BBQ at the outdoor kitchen or relax in the hot tub while enjoying the view. There’s a lot of seating around the balcony where you can relax at night with a glass of wine while enjoying the sunset or sit outside in the morning with a cup of coffee marveling at the sunrise. Tables and chairs are set up outside too for outdoor eating. Inside, you will find 2 long, handmade, wooden tables in the dining room that will seat around 30 people.

Kitchen/Dining Room: You will find an extra-large, fully equipped kitchen with a full-size Refrigerator (ice/water dispenser) and Stove. In the Butler’s Kitchen (connected to it), there is a 2nd deep sink, Dishwasher, Microwave and 2nd full-size Refrigerator. There’s counter space in the Butler’s Kitchen too – perfect for extra space to store food. The dining room is off of the kitchen and has 3 large 3’x10’ handmade wooden tables with benches and at least 30 can sit down all together (more with extra tables that can be added). Wall to wall windows let in plenty of natural light and from them, you can watch the animals outside that show up from time to time. There’s additional bar height seating for 8 at the large kitchen island. Use the toaster for your bagels, griddle for pancakes or blend up smoothies for breakfast. Simply rinse off your dishes and put them in the dishwasher to make clean up smooth and simple. Items provided: pots and pans, toaster, blender, hand mixer, electric griddle, crockpot, serving/cooking utensils, dishes, silverware, glasses/cups, wine glasses and coffee mugs, 2 full size refrigerators (1 with water/ice dispenser), Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher, Keurig, Coffee pot, and electric kettle. Also coffee, sugar, sweet & low, There is a 2nd Kitchen area downstairs with a 2nd Stove & Microwave and a 3rd Refrigerator, but this area is only for wedding parties or with special permission (the cleaning of them is not covered by your cleaning fee). If something is needed/missing please reach out to Kathryn. (Dish towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, hand soap, a sponge, starter roll of paper towels, are provided) Laundry Room: There is a full-size washer and dryer, ironing board (stored in the wall) and iron, shelves and a rod to hang clothes on. There’s also a rack to hang jackets on. There’s an EV Charger at The Vieux. Be sure to bring your adapters if you have a Tesla, the connector is the J1772.
Outdoor spaces: On the front balcony you can sit and enjoy the beautiful views in rocking chairs or other seating. On the side of the balcony is a large, 8 person hot tub. There’s a seating area on the concrete deck near The Enchanted Forest. The Gathering Place has 2 bench swings and chairs and is outside of the Game Room and at the top of the steps leading down to the Firepit. The Firepit has 8 Adirondack chairs around it, (bring some more chairs if you will need them), has lights you can turn on while there, a hose to put out the fire if needed and is beautiful with the fire going and fireflies lighting up around you. Bring your own wood and lighter. The Pickleball Court (bring your own paddles and balls) is a short walk down the Golf Cart/Walking Trail and on the other side of the Pickleball Court is Tanner Manor Lodge (TML). TML has a large size Chess & Checkers Board on the back of it and is available 9:00am – 9:00pm for all guests. There’s more to keep you entertained during your stay. Outside Game Areas: There is a Pickleball Court (bring your own paddles and balls) and Tetherball a short walk from the cabin, headed towards Tanner Manor Lodge (TML – 1231 Pine Mountain Way) On the back porch of Tanner Manor Lodge, you will find a huge Chess & Checkers set. This is for everyone on the property to use (available 9am – 9pm). The Pickleball Court can NOT be driven over unless you have a golfcart with you. On your side of the Well House is a huge Outside Game Bin. In it, you will find: Corn Hole, Bocce Ball, Frisbees, Croquet and more. Please put everything back when you are finished playing. Outside of the garage door you will find The Gathering Place. This has 2 bench swings and some other seating. Down the steps from there is a Firepit (bring your own wood and lighter) with a hose in case you need to put out the fire. There is another seating area outside the back dining room door. The hot tub is on the side deck and some picnic tables are there too so you can eat outside if you want. The charcoal grill is located to the left of the pond. The Mustard Seed Amenities: ● Picnic Area at top of the property – The Overlook ● Bench swing overlooking Pigeon Forge, Wears Vally & The Island – The Overlook ● Gorgeous views from the top of the property – The Summit ● Gazebo at the top of the property – The Secret Garden Gazebo ● Outdoor chapel at the top of the property – The Ivy Chapel ● Pickleball Court – behind Tanner Manor Lodge ● Tetherball – by the Pickleball Court ● Chess & Checkers (large size) – on the back porch of Tanner Manor Lodge ● 3 Firepits: The Embers – ONLY for The Vieux and it’s guests and friends The Ashes behind Tanner Manor Lodge Old Smoky across from the gazebo (bring wood and a lighter) ● Located in the Outdoor Game Bins: Bocce Ball, Corn Hole, Croquet, Frisbees, etc. 1 behind the Well House and 1 at the top of the property between The Duck & Turtle Pond and Gnome Sweet Gnome cabins. Please return items after using them. Location/Roads/Parking: This cabin is easily accessible by motorcycle or vehicle and there’s enough parking for at least 12 cars. Call Kathryn if you want a different place to park a motorcycle. You will find Kroger and Publix at the bottom of the mountain, Food City and Dollar General are close by and Walmart is about 15 minutes away. Just 6 minutes down the mountain is The Parkway in Pigeon Forge, 10 minutes to Downtown Pigeon Forge/The Old Mill, 15-20 minutes to Gatlinburg, 15 minutes to Dollywood, 40 minutes to Cades Cove, 20ish minutes to the Smoky Mountain (depending on which part you are going to), and 10 minutes to The Island and Wears Valley. With such a great location, you’re just a short drive from everything the Great Smoky Mountains has to offer. The road up to The Vieux is paved the entire way. The road to the rest of The Mustard Seed property is paved, but once you drive past Tanner Manor Lodge, it becomes a graded, gravel road that is easy to navigate.

On rare occasions, something happens before or during a trip that prevents you from taking or completing the trip. NO PETS ARE ALLOWED: Any evidence of pets in or near the cabin will result in eviction and an additional $200 charge.
Rules & Information
NO SMOKING or VAPING OF ANYTHING IS ALLOWED INSIDE: Follow the rules posted for each property in regards to smoking. Any evidence of smoking inside will result in eviction and a $200 charge to your credit card on file. Cigarettes smoked outside MUST be put out in a proper receptacle, NOT thrown on the ground and NOT thrown out into the woods. No drugs of any kind are allowed in our unit, even if it is legal in your home state, not even marijuana. Any evidence of drugs will result in a $200 fine and eviction from the property.
Read all directions on fridge including WiFi information, Check In & Check Out directions. Make sure to lock your vehicles at night and it’s recommended to not leave food in them overnight. Although it’s never happened on our properties, you can never be too careful and we are not responsible for your vehicles while they are on our property. Due to bears, skunks, raccoons, squirrels and other outside animals that like to go through trash, trash can NOT be left outside. They are able to open car doors. Special Dates: Out of respect for the holidays and our employees, we do NOT allow ANY check-ins or check-outs on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, or New Year’s Day. Check-In: 4:00pm – There is NO check-in office; you go straight to the cabin. Once all your payments have been made, you will receive the door code – you will have it by 24 hours before your stay, otherwise contact Kathryn if it hasn’t shown up in your email / app. You will be notified if the cabin is ready for a free early check in. Please check the refrigerator upon arrival for Wi-Fi information and Check Out List. Contact Kathryn if you have any questions about the Check Out List. This has to be done prior to departure in order for you to have a 5 star review AND our housecleaner has provided a discount based on you doing this Check Out List (discount already included in the cleaning fee). If everyone does this, it helps the housecleaners get the cabin ready for the next guest quickly so that they can check in on time, just like you were able to. Check-Out: 10:00am – Please check the refrigerator for the Check Out List. Again, this has to be done prior to departure in order for you to have a 5 star review AND our housecleaner has provided a discount based on you doing this Check Out List (discount already included in the cleaning fee). If everyone does this, it helps the housecleaners get the cabin ready for the next guest quickly so that they can check in on time, just like you were able to. Remember, if you have moved any furniture, please move it back prior to leaving. Do a final walk-through at the end to be sure that nothing has been forgotten and all trash has been removed.
Cancellation Policy
REGULAR BOOKING CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations are allowed up to 90 days prior to check-in, with a full refund. Cancellations are allowed between 60-90 days with a 50% refund. Any cancellations within 60 days of check-in are non-refundable. WEDDING CANCELLATION POLICY: We require a minimum of $2,000 non-refundable deposit as downpayment and retainer to reserve your dates! The remaining balance can be split into monthly or quarterly payments, with the balance paid in full no later than 30 days prior to the date of the Wedding. All deposits are non-refundable. However, if the client must cancel, 50% of the remaining balance (minus the deposit) can be refund if 120-90 days before the check-in date. No refund if within 90 days before the check-in date.
