The Burrows

When you stay at this beautiful 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom unit that sleeps 6 guests, you will experience the feeling of being secluded from Pigeon Forge while, in reality, you’re only 6 minutes away. The Burrows is perfect for your next trip to the Smokies. Surrounded by The Great Smoky Mountains, there are breathtaking views, including a view of Mt. LeConte, everywhere you look from the property. Relax downstairs on the front porch in the morning with your coffee while listening to the birds or on the front or side porch swings while enjoying the beauty of the mountains. At night, be mesmerized by the gorgeous sunset over the mountains in front of TML or up at the top of the property while enjoying a glass of wine. The Burrows is located in Tanner Manor Lodge (TML). There are 3 units in TML. The Burrows is an upstairs unit and you have your own entrance and do not share anything except for what is outside and an inside stairwell that goes to your unit, there’s a back staircase that is only for your unit. Downstairs is a unit called The Rustic Charm while across the hall from you upstairs is a unit called The Nuthouse. They have their own entrances as well and do not go through your unit to get to theirs. The Burrows is located on our property called The Mustard Seed Venue and has many amenities to keep you busy during your stay. If you have other family and friends who want to join you, this is the perfect location since The Mustard Seed (TMS) consists of 8 cabins that are all in walking distance of each other, but not on top of each other, 12 acres that you can walk around and multiple amenities to help provide you with a wonderful, relaxing stay. TMS is perfect for a Family Reunion or Destination Wedding (contact Kathryn for Wedding packages and information). We can sleep up to 66 guests overall on the property. Tanner Manor Lodge can sleep up to 20 guests in the 3 units and The Rustic Charm is our 2nd Wedding Venue Reception area where you can have weddings for 40 guests comfortably and 50 if you are a bit creative. All of TML is included in our wedding package called The Rustic Charm. Kitchen/Dining Room: You will find a nice sized, fully equipped kitchen that offers everything you need to cook a delicious meal and enjoy it at the oval kitchen table with chairs for 6 guests. Cook a full meal, use the toaster for your bagels or blend up a smoothie. Items provided: pots and pans, toaster, blender, hand mixer, serving/cooking utensils, dishes, silverware, glasses/cups, wine glasses and coffee mugs, Microwave, Full size refrigerator, Stove & Keurig Duo. If something is needed/missing please reach out to Kathryn. (Dish towels, dish soap, hand soap and a sponge are provided) Outside Game Areas: On the back porch downstairs and around to the back, you will find a huge Chess & Checkers set. This is for everyone on the property to use (available 9am – 9pm). Behind TML, there is a Pickleball Court (bring your own paddles and balls), Tetherball, and a trail to The Ashes Firepit (bring your own wood and lighter, a water hose is provided at the Firepit). The Pickleball Court can NOT be driven over unless you have a golfcart with you. Past the Pickleball Court – on the other side of the Well House is a huge Outside Game Bin. In it, you will find: Corn Hole, Bocce Ball, Frisbees, Croquet and more. Please put everything back when you are finished playing. Outdoor spaces: There is a picnic table and bench swing on the front side porch. On the back porch is the Chess & Checkers set. There is a bench swing around the side of the balcony. The charcoal grill is in the back yard (bring your own charcoal and lighter). ** There is a front porch that is only for The Rustic Charm guests (unless you are part of their group). You will easily be able to tell which one this is The Mustard Seed Amenities: ● Picnic Area at top of the property – The Overlook ● Bench swing overlooking Pigeon Forge, Wears Vally & The Island – The Overlook ● Gazebo at the top of the property – The Summit ● Outdoor chapel at the top of the property – The Ivy Chapel ● Pickleball Court – behind Tanner Manor Lodge ● Tetherball – by the Pickleball Court ● Chess & Checkers (large size) – on the back porch of Tanner Manor Lodge ● Washer/Dryer and Tide detergent – on back porch of Tanner Manor Lodge ● 2 Firepits: The Ashes behind Tanner Manor Lodge & Old Smoky across from the gazebo (bring wood and a lighter) ● Located in the Outdoor Game Bins: Bocce Ball, Corn Hole, Croquet, Frisbees, etc. 1 behind the Well House and 1 at the top of the property between The Duck & Turtle Pond and Gnome Sweet Gnome cabins. Please return items after using them. EV Charger: There is an EV charger at one of our cabins that is a short walk away. Be sure to bring your adapters if you have a Tesla, the connector is the J1772. Just let Kathryn know if you are going to need to use it. All of our cabins contain a Pack & Play (but no sheets). However, we partner with BabyQuip to provide Portable Full Size Cribs, High Chairs, Baby Walkers, Car Seats – Car Seats can be delivered to the airport – and more, at a nominal cost. Link: https://www.babyquip.com/kathryn128 Location/Roads/Parking: This cabin is easily accessible by motorcycle or vehicle and you can park in front or in back. Just please don’t block the side road with the dumpsters on it. You will find Kroger and Publix at the bottom of the mountain, Food City and Dollar General are close by and Walmart is about 15 minutes away. Just 6 minutes down the mountain is The Parkway in Pigeon Forge, 10 minutes to Downtown Pigeon Forge/The Old Mill, 15-20 minutes to Gatlinburg, 15 minutes to Dollywood, 40 minutes to Cades Cove, 20ish minutes to the Smoky Mountain (depending on which part you are going to), and 10 minutes to The Island and Wears Valley. With such a great location, you’re just a short drive from everything the Great Smoky Mountains has to offer. The road up to The Mustard Seed is paved, once you drive past Tanner Manor Lodge (on our property), it becomes a graded, gravel road that is easy to navigate. You will have space to park as many cars as necessary in front of the cabin.

You will be sent the code to the door prior to arrival. You have the entire cabin to yourself.

Smoking is NOT allowed inside at all. Cigarettes smoked outside MUST be put out in a proper receptacle, NOT thrown on the ground and NOT thrown out into the woods. No drugs allowed on our property of any kind, not even marijuana – even if it is legal in your state. Read all directions on fridge including WiFi information, Check In & Check Out directions. Bring your own ice, there is not an icemaker. Lock your car doors on the off chance that a bear shows up and would like to go for a ride. They are able to open car doors.

Cancellations are allowed up to 60 days prior to check-in, with a full refund. Cancellations are allowed between 30-60 days with a 50% refund. Any cancellations within 30 days of check-in are non-refundable.
